Otter Town News - Week 3
Something new and exciting...
Tired of trying to find cash Wednesday morning for popsicles? Try the new Otter Popsicle Pass - $40 for the year. It's one card per student that can be clipped to their backpack or key chain and can be scanned every week! You can buy online and pick up will be available starting Tuesday, September 1st at the school office or at the popsicle stand on Wednesday. Please bring your receipt when initially picking up the pass so it can be activated. Every pass helps fund our PTO programs!
But, we need your help! We need volunteers for these popsicle sales. If you have time on Wednesday afternoons, please sign up! It takes about 20 minutes of your time and the kids will love you!

Back-to-School Giving Challenge

The competition is heating up! Here's where our classrooms stand for most $$ committed:

And we have three classrooms tied for most monthly-donations: Mrs. Fare, Ms. McDow, and Mrs, Rehmtulla. But there's still plenty of time to change the standings! Help your classroom move up the leader board before August 28.

One of Ortega’s teachers is looking for a new place to rent in or near Pacifica. They are hoping to find a place by November 1st, 2026. If you know of an available rental or have a local contact who may be able to help, please contact the Christina at president@ortegapto.org.

Give to our Back to School Giving Challenge
This year, we are challenging our community to start strong by getting at least 100 families signed up for monthly recurring donations to the Annual Fund & raising $30,000 during our Back-to-School Giving Challenge. A recurring gift of any amount provides reliable support throughout the year and helps the PTO plan ahead with confidence.

We need you
Popsicle Sales
Sign up to sell popsicles after school on Wednesdays. Volunteers for the TK/K shift should report to the PTO office at at 11:45. Volunteers for the grade 1-5 shift should report to the school at 1pm.

Drop-Off Attendant
Open doors and help kids exit cars in the morning. Volunteers should grab a blue vest inside the main entrance of the school. Expected commitment time is 30 minutes.
