A HUGE thank you to all the families who joined us for the Ice Cream Social last Friday and to all of you who made it to Back to School Night this week. We hope you enjoyed meeting some new families in the community, your children's teachers and the members of the PTO Board. Just a reminder that enrollment for the fall on-site after school programs opens today, Friday August 21st! Whether looking for art, sports, science, dance, language...we have some amazing programs to offer your kiddos so be sure to check it out and enroll!
Please fill out the Alternate Income Form if you have not already done so. Submitting this form not only benefits your family but also supports your school and community by helping determine state and federal funding for resources that enhance our kid's learning environments.
One of Ortega’s teachers is looking for a new place to rent in or near Pacifica. They are hoping to find a place by November 1st, 2026. If you know of an available rental or have a local contact who may be able to help, please contact the PTO at president@ortegapto.org. Thank you!

New programs include Art with Ms. Lisa, LEGO Robotics, Pickleball, Reef Rescue, Wiffle Ball, and Flag Football. And our returning programs are Spanish 4Fun, Cinecraft Kids, Spindrift, Mad Science, and Chess Wizards.

Popsicle Sales
Sign up to sell popsicles after school on Wednesdays. Volunteers for the TK/K shift should report to the PTO office at at 11:45. Volunteers for the grade 1-5 shift should report to the school at 1pm.

Drop-Off Attendant
Open doors and help kids exit cars in the morning. Volunteers should grab a blue vest inside the main entrance of the school. Expected commitment time is 30 minutes.
