The Ortega PTO partners with a rotating lineup of vendors to offer hands-on, inspiring enrichment classes right on campus. You may hear this called ASEP — it stands for the After-School Enrichment Program, and it means these classes. Programs may include art, coding, sports, STEM, and more — check Homeroom each session for the full lineup.
📌 Programs, schedules, and availability are managed by individual vendors. All registration and class communication happens through Homeroom.
Before you register
- After registering, all communication about your child’s class is handled directly by the provider. The PTO does not coordinate class-specific questions.
- Notify your child’s teacher and aftercare program about their enrichment enrollment. Families are responsible for planning transitions between programs.
- Kindergarten students are met at their classroom and walked to enrichment. TK students enrolled in a Wednesday class are also walked to their class, then to aftercare (Happy Hall or Boys & Girls Club) afterward.
- TK students in a non-Wednesday class starting at 1:35 PM: families are responsible for their child between the 12:30 PM TK dismissal and 1:35 PM class start.
- Wednesday classes with both TK and Kindergarten students begin with a 15–20 minute supervised lunch period for students to eat food they bring from home.
- Non-Wednesday classes for Grades 1–5 begin at 2:35 PM with a supervised snack time for 1st–3rd graders. Instruction begins at 2:55 PM when 4th–5th grade students arrive.
- Providers cannot transport students to offsite aftercare programs (including Boys & Girls Club) for Grades 1–5.
