Why join the board
Ortega’s Parent-Teacher Organization is looking for nominations for the 2027–2028 PTO Board! The PTO is a group of dedicated, skilled, conscientious, and fun individuals who enjoy contributing to the Ortega community through purposeful engagement with the school.
Nominations for the 2027–2028 PTO Board open in April, with elections in May. Check back soon to submit a nomination.
It’s a great way to put a professional skill to good use — like party planning (Activities Coordinator or Fundraising), web design or tech mastery (Tech Coordinator), or graphic design and copy editing (Secretary of Records or Secretary of Communications).
Positions are flexible: you can volunteer for a leadership role (such as Fundraising Coordinator or Activities Coordinator), or share a position with friends so each person leads a specific event.
How to nominate
- 1. Read the board position descriptions to find the role that fits your skills and schedule.
- 2. Fill out the nomination form — you can nominate yourself or, with their permission, another parent.
Questions?
Not sure where you’d fit, or want to talk it through first? Reach out — we’re happy to help.
